At Renu Day Spa cleanliness and sanitation are most important. Spatulas are disposed after every single use, so that wax is never contaminated. We never double dip. We wear disposable gloves, accordingly to OSHA regulations. When we perform facial hair removal we wear an ear-loop mask similar to what a dentist wears. We sterilize our tweezers accordingly to State Board regulation. We take extra measures to keep our spa sanitized and clean.
Threading is a method of hair removal that originated in Asia. A thin cotton thread is soaked in aloe, doubled and twisted. It is then rolled over areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing, where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove short rows of hair. This service is provided as an alternative to waxing for individuals who are allergic to ingredients in wax, have sensitive skin and/or are taking retinol or acne medication
